Experience Summary

I'm a 24 year old media graduate living in Oxford. Achievements include graduating with a 2:1 BA Honours degree in 2007 and also achieving a Diploma in Business Administration in Sept 2010. I currently work full-time as a PA/events officer for a business school, part of my role includes managing and running corporate events and this is the industry I would like to progress my career in. I managed the Oxford India Business Forum 2010 and travelled to India to oversee the event, this was a tremendous achievement and the event went incredibly well. For the events I arrange all logistics and communicate with all attendees as well as handling the budgets and finances etc. Other responsibilites involves diary management for the Director and travel arrangements, alongside managing the Department's budgets and expenses. I am a highly organised individual who can handle multiple tasks at one time and I am often praised on this, alongside always having a smile on my face! I enjoy socialising, cooking, shopping, golf and I am a big animal lover. I am a friendly and talkative person and I enjoy interacting with a variety of people on a daily basis.   • Assistant Event Manager

    With my current and past role I have been involved in running and managing a number of corporate events, including alumni events and an industry event in London. My biggest achievement was managing the Oxford India Business Forum 2010, I also got to travel to India to oversee all arrangements, it was a huge task and took over 8 months of my life but I thoroughly enjoyed it and made the event a success.

  • Conferences

    I assist and run events in my current role and have done so in previous roles. On the day itself I am usually front of house to greet people or managing the event from the sidelines. Responsbilities can involve being in charge of the guestlist, liaising with alumni, staff, students & corporates and dealing with any problems/queries that may arise.

  • Hospitality

    Looking after corporate VIPs during events and meetings and greeting people for events and/or meetings.

  • Presenting

    Presenting at University during projects on radio and tv for numerous documentaries. I also hosted my own weekly radio show for one hour, which was broadcast over the Internet & around the campus.

  • Sales

    Reed Business Information - Oct 2007 - May 2008. Working for Europe's No1 Publishing House, selling recruitment advertising space across 3 magazines & their websites. I do not wish to work in sales however moving forward.
