Aug 2009- - Present PR and Events Manager - Dine In Style Caterers · I organised various events such wedding's, birthdays, corporate events. · This role also included bringing in events, meeting clients and organising tastings/From January this year I was relocated to to Rochester and Cobham Golf course as Catering Manager. Our company ran the catering there so and I was given charge of organising the menus and to cut down on wage costs and train the waiting staff. I also managed their events on the day to day basis. During this time I also helped out with the catering at Riverside Leisure centre in Chelmsford, where I also hep to run the catering and push sales. July 2010 - 2011 General Manager - The Brickyard Bar & Grill I launched the restaurant, bar and club with a soft opening of 2 nights. All the restaurant and bar staff were trained by myself over a course of 5 days. I trained all to a very high standard of serving using my personal training manual. To conclude the training i also provided wine and cocktail training, followed by food tasting and written tests. The Brickyard, 6 months on is now a very successful business and the place to be in Essex. When it reached the high standard i wanted i became head server, (to keep a close eye on everything), also giving me time to work for Dine In Style Caterers. Jan-Dec 2007 PR and Events Executive - Project Media · I brought in events and ran a monthly night at St Martin's Lane Light Bar where we invited clients, old and new to socialise with other companies. · I also helped with the PR for Rocawear owned by JAY-Z. Their office was based in Covent Garden and I used to spend 2-3 days a week working with Studio Valbonne organising the Rocawear launch I was in charge of invites and getting celebrities to attend. Also to have the pap's there and coverage in the papers. This was my first major event and was a total success. Dec 2006 PR and Events Executive - La Dolce Vita Charity Fund Raising Grand Prix Ball – London · I helped organize a very large scale celebrity fundraising charity ball which helped raise £1.6 million, with tables being sold in the region of £8,000 each. I also helped take care of the needs of Beverley Knight, Sting etc. I was chief hostess incharge of 6 other hostess' ensuring that all the VIP's received first class attention. Sep 2000 – 2007 Hostess / Door Control - Living Ventures - Living Room/Mosquito - Liverpool · Undertaking various duties at Living Ventures' Living Room Bar/Restaurant, Mosquito Night Club which was based in Liverpool City centre. I started as a cocktail waitress, advancing to front of house cherry picker, hostess and PA. I was also required to move to London for 8 months to assist with staff training. June 2006 Head Hostess - Liverpool International Tennis Tournament - Liverpool · My role was to greet the VIP guest at the entrance, show them to the champagne reception and escort them for the rest of the day which included their private box for the afternoon. I also featured in the daily fashion show held in the hospitality tent. Sep 2006 Hostess - Downtown Liverpool in Business - Liverpool · This job involved myself and the other girls greeting guests on arrival, showing them to their table and keeping them happy throughout the evening. I also handed out the prizes during the awards ceremony. I have worked for Downtown on a number of occasions. Sep 2005 – 2006 Sales Executive / Head of PR & Events - Live Magazine · My role in this company was to sell advertising space and set up meetings with various business’ to talk about the magazine and it’s purpose.I also organized Live’s Christmas party. Bombay Sapphire sponsored the evening alongside Mckay Solicitors. Performance wise we had Chibuku DJ’s plus the Batala 20 piece drum band. The whole evening did not cost Live Magazine a penny. June-July – 2004 Promotions Girls - Strongbow –Ibiza - San Antonio · Involved in all areas of face to face promotional work, Marketing Strongbow products to holiday makers. This involved wearing a uniform complete with backpack full of Strongbow. June – 1999 - 2000 Promotions - Cream– Liverpool · Involved in promotional work for Cream Night Club · Assisted in Cream Merchandise and fashion outlet. Mar – 1985 Model / Actress · Merseyside Tourist Board, Thompson Holiday, Trinity Mirror Newspapers Global, Permanent barmaid in Brookside for a period of 12 months. · I have been with a number of agencies doing all sorts of work eg.
