As promotions manager at Jonny Goggles, I was to coordinate a 3 month campaign to raise the profile of the opticians and promote sales. Whilst in this position I conducted the interview process and put a team together, worked with a local radio station to design a radio campaign and, designed and coordinated sales events. My other roles and responsibilities included generating sales leads for myself and the teams to follow up, submitting wage and time sheets, calculating bonuses, and liaising with suppliers.

I started work at Spindles Health Club as a gym instructor. As the first point of contact for members and hotel guests using the gym facilities, it was imperative that my hospitality skills were always impeccable. My main duties included; meeting and greeting new members and guests, tours and demonstrations of facilities, and designing and delivering one-to-one/group exercise programs. I quickly worked my way up to head of gym, then senior assistant. My additional duties as senior assistant included writing job lists and assigning them to staff, checking job standards, cashing up tills, completing weekly work and faxing duties, as well as managerial duties in the absence of the manager.

My sales experience comes from selling gym memberships in sales based gyms.

I worked on the Sainsburys 'Taste the Difference' campaign event during the summer as supervisor of the Liverpool sampling team. Along with sampling, my roles included; Distribution of uniform and equipment, stock control, daily telemessage calls, ensuring all standards and expectations were met and to act as mentor to the team.

I have been a SIA licence holder for 5 years. I joined G4s in June 07 and quickly became an integral part of the team, first as supervisor, then manager of the response team. As response manager my main roles were to; plan and organise the logistics of the response team, liaise with the client and police on event days and to ensure the wellbeing of staff, client and customer. I have worked on many major events including ; The Royal Variety Show, John Smiths Grand National, Matthew Street Festival, Tall Ships and Global Gathering, as well as working alongside Liverpool City Council on all of the Capital of Culture 08 events. On the first major event that I managed I introduced a colour code system which has been incorporated into the training courses and is now used on all major G4s events.
