I assisted a friend organise a bar/club night called Rapture in Central London. I helped with the concept and then on the night, played host to the customers, ensuring they were OK for drinks and answering questions. I had to be confident, approachable and warm to ensure customers left with a good impression of the evening.

Once I had to dress up in the unifrom of a character of a well known film when working for 20th Century Fox, and take pictures of the event in Woolworths in Edgware Road. My colleague and I won an all expenses paid trip to New York

I did a promotion a few years back in Fulham, signing up customers to our credit card deal at a football match in exchange for a free gift. I learnt to be really assertive and creative in order to catch people's attention, and engage them through conversation so they would eventually buy from me.

i did a weekend demonstration with a Miracle-Gro product in North London. This included liasing with the superstore, being organised and responsible to arrive, set up a stand and then engage customers, sometimes with large groups stopping to watch the demo. This required good voice projection and not being scared to speak infront of an audience. I learnt not to take myself too seriously and have a sense of humour if the equipment didn't work as planned.

When I organised my club nights, I had to manage the DJ's the leafletters and the door staff to ensure the smooth running of the evening. I also had to constantly check and liase with the bar manager to ensure he was pleased with the event, building a good rapport and keeping unflustered and professional at all times.

In my day job I work as cabin crew for a major airline, a large part of my work is serving food and drinks, being warm and conversational, even when I'm really tired !

i've handed out leaflets for friends to help promote an event and have also had to do it for my own events too. I realise it can be quite challenging and I learnt how to keep myself motivated and not take rejection personally.

I had a promotional opportunity for Smirnoff Moscow mule. I was in a small team, we toured different london bars, mixing the cocktails, offering tasters to punters and engaging with the crowd to create a buzz for the product. i also worked for 20th Century Fox as a product Merchandiser. This post allowed me to liase with major high street stores such as WH Smith, Woolworths and Superdrugs to install and erect posters, flatpack cardboard cut outs and replenish stock of dvd's i had to talk to the managers of the stores to find out anedoctal evidence on product interest, collect statistics and use my influence to gain prime positions in the stores to showcase our films over anywhere else.

I've done some unpaid modelling for my friend who runs a photography company. The main picture on my profile was taken by him.

I worked as a recruitment consultant for 18 months, so a lot of the selling involved was done through cold and warm calling, then during face-to-face meetings with clients. At work I have to sell onboard duty free products. I'm proficient with cash handling and encouraging holiday makers to purchase goods to increase my commission pay.

As mentioned, I was involved in the sampling process when working on a Smirnoff Vodka campaign.

I have been involved with doing security at major stadium events. this required me to always be vigilant for packages left unattended and crowd control. I practised being warm, helpful and personable, but also assertive and storng willed when the need arose. Its important noty to be distracted by the event itself and keep my mind on the job at hand.

I have worked in The Pumphouse in North London as a barman for a few months. My day job involves serving soft and alcoholic drinks as well as tea and coffee.
